Welcome to the Wilson C. Hayes Musculoskeletal Research Symposium: Legacy and the Future.

Hosted by the Carl J. Shapiro Department of Orthopaedics at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, this symposium celebrates the scientific legacy of Wilson C. Hayes and his transformative contributions to orthopaedic biomechanics, musculoskeletal research, and mentorship. The program will bring together established leaders, former trainees, and emerging investigators to reflect on the evolution of the field and explore future directions in musculoskeletal science, bioengineering, and clinical translation.

Participants may register to attend the symposium, submit an abstract for consideration, or complete both activities using the options below. We welcome submissions from faculty, fellows, residents, students, engineers, and research staff whose work advances the understanding of musculoskeletal health, biomechanics, mechanobiology, imaging, computational modeling, artificial intelligence, and related disciplines.

Please select the option that best matches your participation plans.
